I'M IN LOVE WITH THE SHAPE OF TWO

So as wedding season slows down and the holidays gear up here at The Biltwell it’s fun to reflect on the past few months while looking forward to what the future holds in our industry. This week I’ve become intrigued by the geometric trend and the hexagon in particular.

My friends tell me I overthink things which is admittedly a true statement however I couldn’t help myself from digging a bit deeper on this unusual character.

For starters it’s the most efficient shape for storing honey, forming a soccer ball or gripping a pencil!

Not romantic enough for you? Try this: given the winter season almost upon us it seems fitting to note that when water undergoes the change to ice, two water molecules come together to form a hexagon. Have you looked at a snowflake recently?

I also find it romantic that nuts and bolts are hexagons because they can withstand the most torque and form the strongest bond. They simply fit together!

So if you’re considering this trend in your wedding equation I hope my research at least gives you a good story to tell…you could also do it simply because it “adds up” to something amazing!

Happy Holidays,
